I stitched a commemorative biscornu for the upcoming 150th birthday of Canada.
I used Kathrin Ellison's 'Maple Leaf Biscornu' pattern.
Although I had access to red Aida cloth, I chose to use white 28 count linen for both sides.
I also used some silvery beads on the top
and stitched 'Canada 150' '1867 - 2017' on the bottom.
The maple leaves are created with red beads.
It stitched up pretty quickly and the beading was fun to do. I'm still on the hunt for appropriate buttons for all of my biscornus. That may have to wait until I get home and I hit a button store.
