Blocking in the Round

Marion knit this lovely, lace shawl with fine sea silk yarn in a lemongrass colourway. When I soaked it before blocking and squeezed out the water, IT STUNK! I don't know what kind of dye that was used but P-U! Yuk!

She used beads on the points and I tried to pull the points out but unfortunately the bindoff wasn't loose enough for me to do that. I ran some waste yarn around the neck hole and tightened it and then stretched out the rest of the shawl as far as I could and pinned it around the edge.
It's 48" in diameter. Tomorrow I'll release it from the pins and wires and hope to get more photos.

Stay tuned...
