A couple of years ago I learned about the Norwegian Knit Night where a sheep was shorn, the fleece was spun 'in the grease', plied, then knit into a sweater. The attempt was to break the 4 hour and 51 minute record.
This event is now showing on Netflix under the title SlowTV - National Knitting Night. There is also a Slow TV - National Knitting Evening which highlights various knitters, designers, fibre artists and a yarn-bombing of a Harley Davidson motorcycle.
If you don't get Netflix but are intrigued by the National Knitting Night, click on the 'Norwegian Knit Night' link above which will take you to the beginning of the sheep shearing and the first of 5 one-hour episodes.
