Birding Bonanza

Skip and I went out yesterday afternoon to do a birding walk with Robert at the Birding and Nature Center.
Roseate Spoonbill
Black-bellied Whistling Ducks
Beat up Red Admiral Butterfly
Spotted Sandpiper
Long-billed curlew and Marbled Godwit
Snoozing Roseate Spoonbill
Yellow-rumped Warbler
Black-bellied Plovers
Northern Harrier

White Ibis with black feathers showing and 2 Black-bellied Whistling Ducks
Little Blue Heron
Black-necked Stilt (female)
Stilt and Greater Yellowlegs

Great Egret
Loggerhead Shrike
Butterfly garden at the Birding and Nature Center
Gulf Fritillary
Gulf Fritillary
Softshell Turtle
Green Heron
White-Striped Longtail Butterfly

Fiery Skipper
Then we went over to the Convention Center where we saw the rose-breasted grosbeak again. Our research tells us this is an adolescent male.



Northern Mockingbird
Then we saw this brown thrasher again.




There was a brief appearance from a Lincoln Sparrow.
