Lots More Birding

Today Skip and I went out to the Birding Center and Convention Center today. We saw lots of stuff.
Southwest Texan Crescent
Fiery Skipper
Queen Butterfly
Mating queen butterflies
We spent 15 minutes watching this great blue heron devour a rather large fish

First gator sighting of the day

Marsh Wren
Black-bellied Whistling Duck with muddy bill
Tricolour Heron
Black-crowned night heron
Green Heron in its usual spot - at a drain

This cat was prowling around the plant centre beside the Birding Center.
This small (and probably harmless) snake was in the butterfly garden
Cactus beginning to bloom with lots of other buds
Phaon Crescent (I love the striped antennae)
Green Heron in pond in the middle of the Birding Center parking circle
Funereal Duskywing
Over at the Convention Center we went right over to the water feature, which was running.

Northern Parula
Parula and bathing Yellow-Rumped Warbler
While I was taking pictures at the water feature, Skip saw some Scissor-tailed Flycatchers from the boardwalk.
