Another Two Days on the Road

We have had excellent driving conditions since the second day on the road. We spent the night last night in Marshall TX, south of Texarkana and today we braved the toll road around Houston and got to Victoria TX by about 3:30. Here's our route the last two days.

While on the road, I completed another mitten.

Tomorrow we're going birding at a city park in Refugio, TX. We stopped in there last year on our way home and hope to see some good bird life this time. Then there will only be about 3.5 hours until we arrive at our ultimate destination - South Padre Island.
