I got the soluble interfacing washed off and the cornflower piece pressed, ready for finishing.
Stitching this really reminded me how much I enjoy embroidery.
At stitching on Monday, Joanne2 (we number them because they're both Joanne M's) brought a selection of fabric that would go with the predominant colour DMC 3838. The group unanimously selected this one and I agreed.
I think it's going to look very spiffy.
To finish, I'll stitch the two right sides together, leaving an opening on the bottom tip for turning. Then will sew the sides together. I still haven't looked carefully at Mary Corbet's instructions so will do that before I jump in for the finishing.
